Fergus Kinnaird

Fergus has a background in economics, environmental policy, and community organizing. Originally from Melbourne, Australia – Fergus moved to Canada in 2020 chasing BC’s big mountains and long winters while continuing a career in environmental advocacy. Before moving to Canada, Fergus worked as an environmental economist and campaigner at the Australian Conservation Foundation. In 2018, Fergus co-founded a not-for-profit community organization called Shift Australia that builds the skills, confidence, and capacity of young Australians to engage in democratic and civic processes. Fergus is passionate about helping others find their voice and gain the confidence to get active on issues that matter to them.
